9th Cyprus Healthcare Conference

The National Betting Authority will participate in the conference with an information booth, providing participants with information on safer gambling.
In addition, the President of the National Betting Authority will participate in a roundtable discussion as part of the 9th Cyprus Healthcare Conference, entitled “Towards a Comprehensive Mental Health Model: Current Needs, Challenges and Prospects.” His contribution will focus on the public health approach to addressing gambling-related disorders, the importance of early identification, and the role of the General Healthcare System (GeSY) and the GP in facilitating early intervention and referral.

Through a fun and engaging experience, visitors will have the opportunity to test their knowledge and discover useful tips on setting limits and making safer choices.

The National Betting Authority presents the 9th Antenna Soccer Tournament for youth football academies, featuring age groups from U7 to U12. Held under the auspices of the Cyprus Football Association from 2 to 4 October 2026, the tournament forms part of the 9th Safer Gambling Week programme. Inspire 2026 Nicosia Entrepreneurial Festival Fireside Chat & Information Booth

The National Betting Authority will participate in the Inspire 2026 Nicosia Entrepreneurial Festival with an information booth and the participation of its President at the Success Stage, in the discussion titled “Leadership in Practice.” The discussion will explore leadership in practice, everyday decision-making, building trust, and balancing people, performance and challenges. At the information booth, visitors will also have the opportunity to learn more about safer gambling, the importance of setting limits and the tools available to support player protection. The activity forms part of the 9th Safer Gambling Week programme.

11th Nicosia BookFest – Awareness, Prevention & Interactive Activities
Acropolis Park, Nicosia
The National Betting Authority will participate in the 11th Nicosia BookFest with an information booth, offering visitors information on safer gambling, self-protection measures, prevention of problematic gambling and available support resources. On Friday, 9 October, secondary school students will have the opportunity to take part in GAME BRAiN, a 45-minute interactive, educational and entertaining programme. Through five different games, students explore the probabilities and potential losses associated with gambling, learn to recognise signs of problematic gambling, and discover ways to prevent and address problematic behaviour and seek help when needed.

Safe Play, On the Field and Beyond: Activities in all First and Second Division football matches
5th Match Day
The Cyprus Football Association supports Safer Gambling Week by dedicating the 5th matchday of the Men’s First Division to raising awareness and educating the public about safe participation in gambling. Players will enter the field wearing jerseys with the week’s message, sending a strong signal of prevention and protection. The aim of the initiative is to engage society in promoting safer gambling, enhancing both player protection and overall safety.

Outreach Activities: Raising Awareness on Safer Gambling in Supermarkets

As part of the SGW, the NBA will be present with an information booth at supermarkets in all cities to inform and raise public awareness about safer gambling, as well as ways to protect oneself from problem gambling.

The National Betting Authority is an institutional supporter of the Mitsikouri Festival 2026 and its activities, contributing to the promotion of awareness and prevention messages through culture and creative expression. The NBA’s participation forms part of the 9th Safer Gambling Week programme, highlighting the importance of awareness and fostering safer behaviours.

Training Seminar for soldiers
All over Cyprus
An educational workshop for National Guard personnel, focusing on awareness and safer participation in betting and gambling. Through practical examples and interactive activities, participants will learn about the risks associated with excessive gambling, the importance of setting limits, the signs of problematic behaviour and available sources of support.

Mission Safer Gambling – Escape Room for the Prevention of Problem Gambling
My Mall Limassol Nicosia Mall
An interactive Escape Room inviting participants to solve puzzles and overcome challenges while learning through play about safer participation in betting and the risks associated with excessive gambling. The activity aims to prevent problematic behaviours and empower players with practical self-protection tools. The activity will take place at:
