Matthew M. Young, Ph.D., is Chief research Officer at Greo Evidence Insights (a not-for-profit research and knowledge translation organization that works internationally, primarily in mental health and addiction), a Senior Research Associate at the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction, and an Adjunct Research Professor of Psychology at Carleton University in Ottawa. He has studied substance use epidemiology and addiction for over 30 years. Among his contributions, Dr. Young was a member of the scientific expert panel that developed Canada’s Guidance on Alcohol and Health and co-chair of the scientific committee who developed the world’s first lower risk gambling guidelines.
