Maria works at the Swedish Gambling Authority as expert investigator in responsible gambling. Prior to this, she worked at the Centre for Psychiatry Research at Karolinska Institute with gambling prevention and gambling in sports as the main research area. Maria holds a med. licentiate in Public Health focusing on gambling and have also worked at the Public Health Agency of Sweden.
As expert on responsible gambling at Swedish Gambling Authority she is currently project manager for the review and updating of the regulation and general advice on responsible gambling (LIFS 2018:2).
