Dr Anders Basbøll is a theoretical physicist by training and joined the Danish Gambling Authority (DGA) in 2016. Anders has worked on the reporting criteria for sending live data on especially parimutuel betting (horse racing). Anders has worked on Responsible Gambling for years – including on guidance on the Danish “Duty of Attention” concerning gambling patterns, and on using reported gambling data for compliance inspection. Anders currently works on the CEN project on creating a European Standard for Safer Gambling (Markers of Harm). Anders is part of the interdisciplinary Responsible Gambling group at the DGA.
