Simo Dragicevic
Simo is currently the CEO and founder of BetBuddy, part of Playtech Plc, a company building software to better understand behaviour and risk in gambling. He is also simultaneously overseeing the development of Playtech Protect, which is bringing together all of Playtech’s safer and responsible gambling and compliance technology, tools, services and research. Additionally Simo supervises the Phd programme at City, University of London’s Research Centre for Machine Learning and sit on the Board of the Responsible Gambling Council. His research interests are focused on using data to understand behaviour and predict risk and in making AI more transparent and human-like. Alongside colleagues at City, University of London, Simo has been published at NeurIPS, IJCNN and ECAI, as well as the leading journals and conferences in gambling addiction. Prior to founding BetBuddy he had a decade and a half of experience in banking and capital markets building and delivering finance and risk systems.
